So I’ve spent the past few weeks being a pretty poor blogger. I’m not disactive, just very very busy. The past two weeks have been exams, and this weekend I went to Melbourne, to watch the AFL Grand Final (part one) which was a really cool experience, except for the fact I know less than nothing about sport!
So I thought I’d leave you this week with some photos I’ve taken and a song by a band I fell in love with on the period of being away from blogging.
Before I catch you all up on James related events, I want to pose a question and desire as much feedback as possible.
I’m thinking of changing this blog into a Tumblr, so I can create a more fluid photo, music, video, and quote sharing site, especially since I never do really massive posts, I just think my work would be more suited to a tumblr. Also, with my url name I don’t know if I want to change it or not; if so, any suggestions?
Anyway, I’d love some feedback in the comments section, or my email at email@example.com
Here’s a few photos of the events at Melbourne!
(Top left – outside Black Cat Cafe & Bar, top right – Art displays by the river, middle left – amazing breakfast, middle right – graffiti outside the Artists Markets in Fitzroy, bottom – inside the Rose Street Artists Markets)
And a band I fell in love with before exams, The middle East’s track “The Darkest Side”. Take note of the vocal harmonies. Its stunning; throughout the whole EP.

I’ve put on a twitter feed to have a brief view of what I’ve been up to. I’m planning on using my twitter more often, so I can keep you all informed on whats been going on! Things which won’t be major posts I’ll probably put on twitter (like the fact the hostem website is finally operational!) so be sure to look on the sidebar more often!

Mankind is a creature that no longer evolves, is it not?
Compared to other animals, the cancer rate in man is exceedingly small.
One theory says that man is a neoteny, and is no longer able to evolve.
If this is true, then what an absurd creature man has evolved into.
Not knowing what it is that drives them, they keep their bodies merely to satisfy the desires of the flesh.
They’re worthless, don’t you think?
Thats all mankind is.

I’ve had this TV show on my computer for so long, and attempted watching it a while ago. But after about 5 minutes my mind had just about exploded. So recently, in my attempt at putting mass amounts of anime and TV shows onto my computer, I had to try this one again. So I’ve just about finished the series now, (its taken a while, because I’ve been caught up with Being Human instead!) but I’ve found some really cool quotes from inside it. The show tackles the concept of identity most of the time, and if you really want to over analyse it, its a great metaphor for looking at the internet as a way of seriously fragmenting humanity, having it as an escape from reality, to the point where its own world with its own god. This was in the fifth episode, and I just found it a really cool way of looking at humans. Humans have no aim; they serve only to please themselves with materialistic and mortal desires and can not progress any further than they’ve reached now. The shows literal interpretation of this is what makes it so cool; but if you’re going to watch Lain, then just try and have a clear head, because its not the easiest to follow.

Really. Fucking awesome. I saw the movie the other day, when my school had a day off and I REALLY enjoyed it. So when I got home I downloaded the comics. I screenshotted a few of my favourite lines from the comics, but nothing that gives away the plot. Its really cool, and I highly recommend it. Not because of the comedy or the following of a trend, but its a genuinely good comic. Theres some pretty cool character development, plots, and awesome video gaming references. (+ my new hat!)
So here are a few of my favourite scenes! (non sequential.)
