I want to write an article which will appear on Thought Catalog.

One day this will be me (check the bottom left corner. Simon knocked this up for me. I people sometimes. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?)

But for now it is not me, one day I hope it will. I’m currently working on an article I plan on sending in to Thought Catalog, but you’ll see it here first.

My dad has “vials” of chemicals and base compounds including “syrup limon” in our living room.

They’re relics from his old business. A friend asked me to “finish telling” him the story behind them because apparently I started and didn’t finish. He used them to compound medication for people with very particular symptoms or if what they wanted was out of stock. I don’t think it’s very interesting, I mean I did at one stage.

I was five years old or thereabouts and I used to run up and down the stairs of his old pharmacy. I had run upstairs a few times and been like “woah I bet he makes cool potions and stuff” and then since I spent a large majority of my childhood inside that pharmacy (to the extent that, a few times I would invite friends over and we would spend the day in the pharmacy) I don’t particularly find the anecdote an interesting one. They’re there because my Dad recently (six months ago) sold his business, and we recently (3 ~ 4 months ago) moved into a new house and he wanted a spot for them.

So yeah, a majority of my childhood was spent in, and working in, my dads shop.

Cycling.

My favourite cyclist is Andy Schleck. I liked him when he was a hot contender for the White Jersey in 2009. I’m actually a big fan of cycling and used to often go for bike rides. Of course, these days I’m horribly lazy, so I haven’t gotten around to it as much. I watch Le Tour de France quite often, and have since I was quite young. I was really excited about the formation of the new team Leopard Trek, since I like both of the Schleck brothers (though Andy more-so) and Stuart O’Grady, who I’ve followed ever since I started watching le tour. I used to have a lot of trouble sleeping as a child, and as a result used to get out of bed quite late at night (for a pre-teen, so like 12am) and watch TV with my Dad. Le Tour was one thing which I used to be subject to. In like, year 9 or 10 I went in the Sydney Spring Cycle, which is a 50km bike ride from North Sydney to Homebush. I went in this with one of my brothers and my dad, and ended up beating both of them. I don’t own my own bicycle.

Where Am I?
